Flock/Life Journey's 2019

I was going to give the older ones run of the coop and have the others in their pens. I don't have a quarantine place :hmm

Put then i heard having the two males with just the one pullet would be bad? Should i look for some mor POL girls to put with them till the others are older maybe?
Are your males juveniles? Or are they ready to mate? I wouldn't put mature males with a lone pullet. Is there some way to divide the coop? I considered this but opted to take my chances with integrating them all together & @ once.

Flock Update:
Breakfast for my ladies this morning. Mixed vegetables one of their favorites.

They still aren't laying. We are going on 7 days without eggs. Last time Hazel stopped was for 8 days so we will see how long they stop for this time. The daylight hours yesterday were 11 hours 29 minutes. Im keeping record now.

Haven't been able to save anymore for my coop this week so ill see how I go next week.

Having battled to keep my girls laying through summer they are now going great guns & I have been getting 2~3 eggs a day again. I think my hens are weird. :)

The roos and one pullet are 9 months... i know she's at point of lay or actively laying but I haven't read much as to when roos start getting frisky...

I don't do roos but I do know 2 cockerels to 1 pullet is way too many men for your girl. Even 1 is probably too much as the boys generally mature faster than the girls. Can you manage a bachelor pad for the boys?

What breed are they? Mine was RIR and he was getting frisky at 4 months.

Yes! I'll turn my hay stall into the guys house for a few months. They can bunk in there for the first couple days then I'll let them out to free range during the day. I have some poultry netting that will help fence things off so they have a safe place from cats and other things that climb walls.

This is the current door to it. I think if a add a bit more security to the fencing pieces it would hold up. We do have coyotes in the area but the neighbors Great Pyrenees keep them away
