In the fall we bought our flock of 25, received 26, assuming our first winter we would possibly lose some, wrong. We were successful and now they are about 4 months old and we are not agreeing on genders so thanks to my daughter and her friend on their day off we took the best photos we could of all of them.

There are many guesses and opinions in the family but we want unbiased knowledgeable people's assistance. Thank you in advance

FYI The plastic zip ties to their leg were put during photo taking so we know when you tell us who is who so we can seperate them. We did cut the plastic bands shorter after photo taken and they will be removed as soon as we seperate them. we have the second coop prepared so it will not take long!

No chickens were injured during this photo taking only teenagers falling in poo and walls to catch the birds!

You must have ordered all pullets because it looks like every one is a girl, but the pictures are small so I can't tell for sure. 13 and 26 look like the closest thing to a rooster to me

Did you order the "Egg Layer Special"? Because they all look like good egg laying pullets to me. I'm no expert, but here are my best guesses:

1, 2, 10, Barred Rock

3, 7, 9, 13, 15, 19, 20, White Leghorn

4, 6, 14, 18, 23, Hamburg

5, Rhode Island Red

11, 12, 16, 17, 22, 25, 26, Brown Leghorn

8, Campine

21, 24, ?

Here are my guesses, but fairly certain on most cases..

Barred Rocks--1,2,10
White Leghorns--3, 9, 13, 19, 20
Silver Spangled Hamburgs--4, 6 14, 18, 23
Production Red--5
White Rock--7, 15
Golden Campine--8????
Golden Pheonix--21
Brown Leghorn--11, 12, 16, 17, 22, 25, 26

THANK YOU EVERYONE!

We bought the pullet special but a past experience with another hatchery our 12 pullets ended up being 9 roosters in the bunch so understand our nervousness.

Now researching the different breeds to better understand what we have. Thank you for assisting us in our education of what we have for feathered friends.
