I am happy for you 4peeps that the MRS is trying to work things out...Hope she is serious and not just dragging this on. Good luck anyway at getting your property back...

This thread is like driving past a fender bender on the freeway.

I know I shouldn't look, but I can't help it.

Thats wrong.
The woman who has them prob doesn't even know anything about chickens. Which breeds did they return?

HI,
I live in Lebanon. What horse farm are you referring to??? Also I know a woman in Barrington that has many many birds. She is very well known in the 4H area. If you could contact me I could give you her name. Maybe she know something. She knows allot about poultry and the goings on in the poultry industry in this area.

If you do not have any luck. I have about sixty chickens and some ducks. I could give you some eggs to hatch if you like... free.
I am really sorry for your loss. I get very attached to my chicks as well, but, I lock them up, especially when I am not home. I use all weather locks that are waterproof. It is always a good to have a few really nasty roos around to deter any pirates in and around the coop!

* O.k.- A "short" recap 4peeps(Kim T) moves from NH to MAINE, hiring "MM" aka "Mr. Mover" to bring her flock to her new home. MM, after 2 wks of stalling, brings just 5 birds, and says the rest are elsewhere, but won't reveal where. MRS. Mover has Kim's incubators & now claims to want out of the drama and says she is willing to give them up. It has since been learned that the rest of Kim's birds are in the custody of Mr. Horseman who claims that they were turned over to him as abandoned. Horseman accepts that birds WERE Kim's, but so far refuses to give them back-- and, apparently, Horseman has been unable to keep his dog off the birds-- supposedly, at least 9 have been killed. Maine's only authorities are the State Police, who reportedly have been contacted but, believe this is a civil matter of default on a contract. And here we are. 4peeps is trying to regain her birds and incubators, AND get herself and 4 children settled in a new home, in a new state, at one and the same time.
