Hi!

I still don't understand where to go to add myself to the sunny side up forum though I did figure out how to post to it.  Any help is appreciated.
.

Thanks!

Are you on a phone, tablet or the desktop page?

On desktop, the "subscribe" button is both top and bottom: up top look for the star, and at the bottom, it is in small blue text.

Also, on desktop if you click on your username at the top left, it will show you your post history on the page. On a tablet, the left has a list like a table of contents. Look for your name there...

Hope that helps... :/

The blue text is nearly unreadable. It actually hurts my eyes

Wow a broody coturnix! That's amazing. I would contact Alexandra Douglas, she is an expert on quail, lives in FL, and just released a book about them. I don't know if she is on BYC, but she is on FB, there is also a "Quail breeders unite" Facebook page.

Alexandra's user name on BYC is Stellar.

I just had a Coturnix Quail go broody and successfully hatch 4 of 5 eggs.:weee She got an assist from mother nature as our weather has been 85 degrees with high humidity since the 1st of May when I left the eggs for her. I am new to raising birds but from what I have read this is not a common occurrence and I was wondering how I can officially document it and still be under the radar with my "pet song birds in an aviary"?
That is so cool. Mine are in the bator no luck with broody quail yet. Mine are "song birds" to I'm on the treasure coast. I figure that is vague enough. Where are you?

So I saw a couple last night driving with a trailer with what looked like a new quail set up. Oh ya and a great zombie bumper sticker. Wish I Could find them since we are feathered outlaws to. If you are on here HI! I was the weirdo checking out your cool cages while stuffing my face with pizza. LOL! I'm on the treasure coast.

What does it mean to have "a songbird setup"? I'm sure it has something to do with ordinances and what not, but are "songbirds" allowed and "meat birds" not? I had what I assume to be one of the city council members stalking me on here and report me to code enforcement as a got this vague letter stating "you MAY have chickens on your property and they MAY not have a cage and they aren't allowed to free range, so get the proper approval from your neighbors, or call us and let us know that you don't have chickens." I had my neighbors approval and they all loved the idea of backyard chickens. So I can only imagine that someone who doesn't like me was stalking me online. Gotta love those angry old people who have nothing better to do than complain about everyone else and since they don't like something it must be bad. And for the record, I wasn't breaking code as I confirmed with my Code enforcement officer, just in case said crotchety person is reading this
