Flowers in quail coop?

All that's survived in my pen so far is the northern cedar branches I've placed in there. They take a long time to dry out and I'll replace them when they do. I had a sage bush that lasted about 10 days before they turned it into bare twigs sticking out of the ground 😂

I would love to find a safe plant that isn't eaten that I can grow in there for ground cover for them. Cedar branches are all I've found so far.

I don't have experience yet with quail .. but I want to have some plantings in my chicken coop and found EdibleAcres on YT who protects plants in chicken run in different ways... many many videos you might check out for ideas on his YT channel.
