This morning when I went out to the chickens, I noticed one was all fluffed up sitting in the sun. At first I thought she was just cold, as it is a little colder this week than it has been. But after a while, she still hadn't moved and I picked her up. Instead of running as she usually does, she let me pick her up and didn't squawk at all. She keeps her head very close to her body and her eyes closed. I moved her into more direct sun and came back a couple hours later. She still hadn't moved and the other chickens were beginning to peck at her, so I seperated her and gave her fresh water and medicated crumble. She doesn't seem to have any interest in food or water. After a while in the sun, she began to open her eyes and make soft noises when I picked her up. But when I set her down, she would slowly fall over onto her side and lay there. After several hours, she moved over a few feet and opened her eyes, but still didn't look too good. She is about 7 months old. She looked fine and healthy a couple of days ago (Friday), but I wasn't there this weekend. Does anyone know what this is? If so, can I treat it? Thank you!
