Follow me to a trip to China

Pics
July 11th, I went to the rural area of Shaoxing. Unfortunately I did not see chickens freely roaming around. I heard lots of crows, one after another.

It is a very modern village.

I did see ducks. If you zoom in, you can see some are on the steps by the river ready to jump in.

Then the family I visited has ducks under birdhouse gourds.

Very pretty! The ducks are cute too.

Does the river run through the city? It seems a good place for ducks to swim. I'd like to get ducks too, soon.

We used to have a very nice lady who was a post master in our very small town, who was American/Chinese. I was in line at the post office, and a woman in front of me told the post master, "I just got back from...China." Post master just nodded her head, and said an unenthusiastic "Uh,huh..." The woman went on to tell the post master, "I brought you these stamps, they are Chinese!" The post master said, "This is a United States Post Office, what am I supposed to do with those? The stamps mean more to YOU," the post master told the woman... "you should keep them."

Hi everyone! It's been a while since I posted. I got back to the United States late Wednesday night. It is two weeks earlier than planned, but it is good to be back.

I still have some to post about China which I will do in the near future.
Welcome home. I hope overall it was a good trip and some lovely time with your family.
Thank you for sharing the pictures with us as you went along and I am sure many of us would love to see more once you are settled.

It is very nice for that woman to bring stamps to the post master.

Thank you. I think it was overall a good trip. My parents are in good health. I reconnected with my friends and relatives that I care. I felt up to date with China, the good, the bad, and the ugly.

A bridge by the bridge. Th old bridge on the right is how wide roads used to be long ago. They preserved it when making the new road.

My MacBook broke more a while ago. I thought it was a battery issue. I went to a computer repair shop in the sketchy computer mall (it looks abandoned)

It turned out to be also a mother board issue in addition to battery. They were able to replace the parts on the motherboard. After a week, I got my fixed computer. I was very pleased. It cost less than 100 us dollars to replace my battery and fix the motherboard. They were competent.
