For those that have bought from Mt. Healthy ????

How good are they at sexing chicks? I just order 25 pullets can I expect a Roo or 2 from this? It would be a good thing if it did happen. I did not get the st run for fear of 15 or more roos. So I figure I would take the chance of 25 all pullets and hope for a roo or 2. If not I am sure I can find a couple local.

Should be close to 100% because most they sell are feather sexed.

Well, not buying one of the feather sexed colors. I know some hatcheries have been having mistakes. I guess it can happen any time.

I have bought from a local feed store who buys from hatcheries and I still ended up with one rooster. They guaranteed 95% hens.

Although I did not want one, I was glad because now I am making babies..

I usually buy only roos from them and the sexing is pretty close to 100%, but I'm not sure if this info will help you

I ordered 25 from Mt. Healthy, they sent 27, and we only got one roo. Chicks were all healthy & vigorous.

Our TSC buys from Mt. Healthy all 6 of ours were hens no roos for us
