I’d keep her in over night so you can monitor how she is doing. Especially while she’syou live is an in shock. Very sorry for your loss. If where is anything like here it’s so muddy and that is one thing you don’t want to introduce into her wounds is mud and nasty bacteria.

Yes it’s very muddy. We set her up in the dog cage she’s finally trying to clean herself

We weren’t able to it was one wound one scratch and the rest were blood feathers he only cut the feathers around the one wound he was afraid to cut more off because it looked like their were a lot of blood feathers. She didn’t really like him handling her she only wants me right now. I made the electrolyte water for her as well. But she won’t eat

I will I hope so. She won’t even let my son near her and he’s the one that handles her the most. I feel bad just glad she is alive.

to recover from shock she needs to be left alone for a while in quiet and dark . she will love your son again after the shock is over

It is natural for them not to want to eat she has been traumatized. Once she is over shock then there is time for loving.
There is a product called Vetericyn plus Antimicrobial wound care which is a spray that is awesome for these kind of wounds.

I have it I sprayed her down. She wouldn’t allow my husband to really do anything. Just now she took water from him. In the morning I’m going to draw her a nice bath and rinse her off and redress everything. I also put Neosporin on her. I went to target and got a natural one. Thankfully I keep my duck kit stocked.

She is doing good my husband sat with her at like 1 am feeding her and giving her water and she took it now she’s quacking and drinking and eating on her own. She’s back to her normal sassy self. She got some of the bandage off but maybe that’s good it was able to breath we’re going to give her a bath soon. She tried to playfully bite me like she usually does so it’s a good sign
