Hi all,

I'm looking to re-home a broody gal. She's disrupting all the egg laying hens, and my SO has had it. We don't want to post her on CL just to have her end up on a plate by tomorrow. Ultimately, we'd both like to find someone in the area who is in need of a brooder.
She's a year old Maran, who lays eggs when she's NOT broody, which isn't very often. Now, I've utilized most of the tips I've read in the forums to break her broodiness. They work for a couple days but not much longer, then she's right back to her ways.

Thanks!

Robin

Where are you from? Just wondering distance-wise. Sadly, I am too busy with roosters to take her or else I would in a heartbeat. Good luck :thumbsup

Wher in Skagit are you? I live in Anacortes whith a flock of 8, but my mother loves marans so we may possibly be able to take her we have dogs as well but the chickens have both a run and fenced off area to themselves.
