FREE Pallets....what to use them for?!

I also am thinking birdhouses, coops, and maybe some shelves of some sort. Any more ideas?

Birdhouses would be great. Especially if you like painting and decorating them. People like that kind of stuff. Although personally I prefer that they be plain and just blend into the trees.

My pallets came in real handy as a elevated walkway in the chicken yard. I can go from the gate to the coop without touching the ground.
Much better than slogging in the mud!

You could also make a A-frame dog house or a run in shelter for pymgy goats. Yeah a goat play ground comes to mind.

My husband built our coop using the pallets bricks were on when delivered here. We used 3 for flooring bases, then 3 pallets were used as the frame of the building, with 2x4's binding them together, creating the roofing framework. He had this done in just a couple hours.
Now we realize the chickens would prefer their house to be raised at least 2 feet above the ground. This needs to be re-worked, since my chickens don't seem to feel secure in this coop.(he used some construction plastic to wrap over the chickenwire walls.)
