ugh!!!

hope you brought some pan sausage in case the pan fish don't play nice.......

what a couple of says . pouring down here twenty miles north freezing rain five north of that snow . and as of yesterday it has been confirmed sad to say I have TMC and DKADTAC. both however are in the advanced stages . good one can be cured the other not so sure about .and for those of you who don't know what these affliction are . definition To Many Chickens .and Don't Know A Dam Thing About Chickens . the first a trip to the sale barn will ease the symptoms .and the second I don't think a hammer could beat sense or smarts in my head . now ya'll don't laugh at me I feel so dumb already.

.I have spent two mounts wondering why them black hens ain't laying any eggs. do I have to say more .

sure hope you all don't think less of me . but in my defense never said I was smart . That Was SC. I'm the pretty one remember .

supposed to do a plumbing job up in the ice country this morning. but don't think I'll be in a hurry

We're about to start getting snow . It is always so crazy here already snowing hard in Nashville . we might get a dusting or a foot . .Interstate 40 going through town is down to a crawl and we haven't got the first flake of snow . they are saying record snow fall . we'll see . once they start with traffic they only do a little weather . I' m going to get It from Ravyn when she reads that about the chickens . plus side one them roos realy nice

Just covered up this morning trying to get these trucks out of here before the roads start freezing.
I was going to multi quote, but I'll just say it now. I actually went to bed right after that picture last night. There were 3 in there when I left for work this morning. Two were fluffed up, and adorable
I'm sure there will be pics later this afternoon or tomorrow

Just covered up this morning trying to get these trucks out of here before the roads start freezing.
I was going to multi quote, but I'll just say it now. I actually went to bed right after that picture last night. There were 3 in there when I left for work this morning. Two were fluffed up, and adorable

@RubyNala97 cool pics! What's up with the side air cell?

With the Spot Check, its so sensitive, be sure you don't have it near one of the intake holes. According to the insert with the thermometer, intake ventilation can really affect it. And I assume you don't have it touching anything. I found that even masking tape affected it in my old bator. The whole stick needs to hang free. I taped the wire to the outside to hold it in place.

I have it hanging over the eggs and then I just kind of move it around and it goes all over the place. I think I'll just stick with a calibrated glass thermometer. It freaks me out every time I see an out of range number!!

Isn't that side air cell crazy? I've never seen an egg laid like that. I think byc910 had one like that. It'd definitely not developing but cool to see in person.

Yep, supposed to hit us in a few hours. 8-12" expected

I just want to get back home before it starts.

We were supposed to get it and then the report kept changing as the storm moved south. I'm happy we are not getting it. I'm sure we will before the winter ends. The kids are disappointed though. But, it looks like you're happy about it. Get home safe and then enjoy it!

Yay!! can't wait to see more pics!

I woke up to the exact same! 2 fluff balls and 1 that had just pushed out. Caught it just in time. 3 more pips. I moved the fluffy ones over to the brooder. Checked the eggs really quick. Looks like 1 quit. I still see lots of blood vessels but no draw down, at all. The rest look like they are about to internally pip.

Well maybe you can play around with the Spot Check after you empty the bator. Oh, I forgot, you might try changing the battery too, even if it was new.
That may have been when mine went wonky.
