French frogs

WV are you incubating lav Orps?

Not at the moment, but for the right price... :D

Nice!

I cleaned out all the junk I had sitting on the storage side of the coop and had the brilliant idea to use DHs blower to get the dust level down.

Umm, don't be surprised if I come down with Hantavirus.

Ewww! That doesn't sound like much fun!

They are pretty and I like Orpingtons but my eyes and coop space ain't jiving together. A friend of mine offered me lav orp eggs and and black/chocolate bantam orp eggs and I knew you had some. How do you like them?

Honestly, I think my opinion differs from most, so take it for what its worth. They are super gorgeous birds and I love looking at them, but "mine" aren't friendly like most people say theirs are, at least not yet. The males are huge (turkey huge) and beautiful, but ran like little girls from my Brahma rooster. They are slow maturing. Their eggs aren't as big as you would think, for the size of the bird. But they are desirable, and mine are nice quality, so if they produce well and I can sell some eggs, I'll keep them for a while. Otherwise I might sell the birds themselves and make better use of the pen. (like BCMs or Ams from SC lol) They do hatch pretty easily though.

I wouldn't mind trying bantam orps!

But I'd say do more research on them.

Well, a few rough patches, but got the NG tube out this afternoon and allowed clear liquids finally. Even coffee! All he has had is ice chips and small sips of water. (besides the IV stuff). Heart rate has been a bit high at times and some arrhythmia, but they are watching it. Kidneys took a beating, but still hoping no long-term damage.

We also went for a short walk around the hall this evening. He's very weak, but improving quickly!

Thank you for asking! :hugs

First of all, Stella is too adorable! The birds are really pretty too. Personally, I'm not all that into the fibros, but they are kinda growing on me. Thanks for the pics!
Wow, glad she's ok!

Thank you!!!! She is my baby. Im trying to work the hubby to have another because she will be starting school in the fall. It makes me sad. I will have a quiet house....and be bored..actually I will probably be on here non stop. ;) :lau

So glad to hear it! Those NG tubes are so annoying. Glad he could get a walk in - it will do him so much good.

Friday, I about went off on them over that thing. It wasn't working for the first whole day and I kept telling them nothing was coming out and why? They'd check and say it was on. Finally got a doc to send a tech to check it and he fixed it. 400ml came rushing out! 400! In like 2 minutes. I coulda smacked every nurse that had checked it.
