I got rats and were it not for the democratic system around here I would poison the chit out them. they say the cats and chickens will eat the dead rats and kill them

made Ravyns rat bucket caught one . almost shot the cat shooting at rats. 22 LR bird shot isn't strong enough 22 mags are but cost to much would use shorts but might shot something I'm not supposed to

I hate rats but I like to shoot them . going to try the bucket with a different approach .As soon as I get it built I'll show you what I'm doing . Just got like zero time . just got home at 5:30 took Ben to Mcdonalds came home feed and watered gather eggs and it started raining and now I'm here .But finely brought my little skid loader home and maybe just maybe I'll get the lights run under ground to my chicken house.

DW just informed me we have been invited to dinner and a show this Saturday night by the CEO of the hospital were she works .

I'll get in trouble for sure

. they will ask me what I do . And of course I'll say I'm a professional ditch digger and that will tick her off .But free dinner and a show be my luck it will be a country music show

guess I better start practicing to be good now .and maybe I can pull it off . It is very nice to be able to spend time with you all this evening hope everyone is well and thank ou so much for having Me .

I'm gonna have to think about this some more for sure . I don't know if I can sit still that long and not swear . Construction worker is so hard to overcome .

Oh I hate rats. We had huge ones in SoCal and I had to build a Ft. Knox to keep the chickens in so the rats couldn't get to the food. Spent $$ on hardware cloth for that build. The field mice here are tiny and don't bother me too much.

Cats are a definite NO in my household. Hubby hates them!

Also, the egg that Katherine laid today jumped in the bator with the 5 from last night, so am I still clear with 6 not counting??

And I've got a deal to get Serama eggs!!! I'm stoked!!!!! (thanks to Ravyn for baiting that hook!)

Yes I did chicks didn't do good highest 1.38 rest 1.00 pullets and roos were average . hope you did better than me. I new going there it would be like that . Shouldn't sell chicks there after the first week in April . 

Dang, that sucks... didn't do great, but better than I feared... only thing is they forgot a box of chickens... have to go in and pick up another check for 3 pullets... :/

Outdoor cats become coyote food pretty quickly around here, plus my dogs wouldn't allow any cats on the property.

My cats tell my dogs and the neighbor dogs whats what....
Not here my cats are smart... My oldest outdoor.. (Sumner only,) cat is 16

Yes their limited lifespan is fixed by the fact that they reproduce so quickly. Though the dogs would make things much harder. My dogs tolerate the cats well. We have a couple tame ones but most of the cats are feral that just hang around because I feed them a little.

I only feed them a little because they reproduce so Flippin quickly. I hope a couple Tom's will go looking for greener pastures (I sneak my favorites more food)
My biggest concern is some let the girls play with them, so I go out once a month and put Frontline on as many as I can while they eat.

Yes it is... just not on the invoice or the check... called him and he said to come in and they'll take care if it...
