But to be fair, I haven't heard from the guy. I would likely uphold my end of the deal if he contacts me. But only if he brings me more eggs to hatch, because I do want to keep some. Whether its this batch or some from the next one.

Live birds and eggs across state lines. Even in state you have to keep records of sales. You are right about only buying from NPIP breeders, new birds should come with movement papers
So there is no real enforcement? I know folks without NPIP ship eggs across state lines all the time. I have also heard of folks shipping birds without NPIP papers and the post office doesn't ask. I'm still thinking about doing it, but that's a strange thing.

I have a VERY long email from the SC state NPIP director that outlines the requirements if anyone wants it in a PM

I think it depends on the state. I wanted Ruby's little roo and looked into it. Was told I had to have papers to receive into WV and the post office would require it. But I guess it all depends on whether they know the rules.

I did read last night that WV has lifted a previous ban that had shut down all the swaps and shows.

Someone on my local thread just brought up the funny tasting eggs. They say that if the birds eat enough seeds or parts of oily type plants that could boost the Omega 3s and make em taste bad.

Well, my eggs are delicious. Different poster with the question maybe?

Hey guys do eggs taste weird if they freeze? I scrambled a bunch this morning and they definitely had a bad off taste...I just thought about that cause my daughter was complaining this AM she wouldn't even touch them! I tasted them and they definitely had a bad taste. Just wondering...

I was confused :lau
