Wow... I thought Johnny's comb was a lot better than Elvis' but they're pretty close... Johnny's is still better... and beard extends down more... tail sets are very similar...

Tail sets are similar. Johnny's tail may be a little tighter than Elvis. Do you have a straight on shot of his comb? I don't have one of Johnny's, but I have a good one of Josh

Nice! Both have good beards and muffs. It's hard to tell from Rav's pick but both seem to have good sheen. Looks like Elvis is a little older and fuller, and has a bigger comb. Beautiful birds! Johnny just needs some of that blue water Rav feeds her birds to perk up his testosterone . BTW: which is preferred as regards to combs? Larger or smaller?

Personally I like the tighter combs. Ravyn's is still good, but I have seen some that are really big and it doesn't look right. Elvis has a good sheen, I just took those pictures of Johnny in the afternoon with the sun behind me.

Yep, he does have a better comb... Josh's looks just like Elvis' dads did, too bad he turned into such an @$$hole... :/ Had to go grab a pic, sorry he was NOT cooperating... and there's a couple pecks on it, he doesn't like my Marans boy sharing a fence... :/

Josh is gorgeous, and huge. I need to get some better shots of him. He's the one that you remarked about how broad his shoulders were. If Johnny doesn't improve, Josh may get a shot to see what he throws. The only thing keeping him out of the pen is 4 or 5 rusty feathers

Elvis shined super green in the sun, but wouldn't hold still when he got in it, lol... shorter, tighter comb is best... but I'm working with the Lav influence and a lot of those combs still aren't quite right...

Btw, I didn't raise Elvis... he was in eggs I gave a friend to hatch and she ended up not being able to keep him... but I do believe he is a month or 2 older than Johnny...

You need another pen... I would run a test batch off Josh... keep only the boys, DO NOT keep the pullets... grow them out til adult molt and see if any come out good w/out leakage...

that would be the one time I'd get all or mostly pullets....
