Frizzle Silkie gender?

Here we go again with a questionable Silkie. Asking for a friend; the bird is around 3-4 months old. I’m leaning towards pullet…?

I hate this type of feathering.
I assume pullet based on comb size.

Does frizzle feathering happen if the parents are frizzle or does it happen at random as well?

Only one parent needs the frizzle gene to make more frizzles.

Frizzle X Frizzle = Frazzles which usually end up with problems, such as fragile feathers as an example.
