How old are they? If they are only 8-10 weeks, I would say males. But they could be older and at POL. Can you see any saddle feathers?

Oh please don't say they are males, or I'll get killed! They look like my RIR. There 10 wks. One lady asked to see their feet so I went out and here they are!

Yeah I just wanted to confirm they were cochins and had feathered feet. (I should have just asked instead of having you go through the trouble) I'm sorry as I must say I believe they are roosters too. If you go back to him he should give you your money back. Also the information I posted earlier was partly second hand, so if anyone cares to correct me on something they believe to be false I would appreciate it.

When I purchased them, I tried to get his place of business and that should of told me something. The friend I went w/ , they knew each other and she said he'd been selling his birds in the McDonald Farm for over 10 yrs and that it took her 6 yrs before he gave her his address. Which she stated she had lost w/ time and while there she paid him $10. for some birds she had purchased yrs ago. So I won't see Mr. Prime til next years Fryeburg Fair in Maine and by then he would never believe me I'm sure. It's not like he gave me a receipt w/ his name or the names of what I purchased . And the fact that we spoke for 20+ min. about mating them w/ my Sizzles or Silkies, showed him the "family" album of my girls, while my friend brought the birds to the SUV.
I just hate getting takened like that especially since I can't even find some Lovely Silkies to mate w/ my boys. It's such a loss cuz I can't have them go to the freezer. I just have to many roos!

That's horrible when people take advantage of others. It's not fair that they would put you in that kind of situation. I hope you find someone with some nice silkie pullets. Maybe you can go on a thread for New Hampshire and find someone local with silkies or go on the silkie thread.

And I agree, its pretty low of that guy to pawn roosters off on you like that

This is what I got from Piglet on the NH Where am I site. I was sick w/ a migrane to my DD went for me. He said where was their poofy head and he said it would come. DD thought I wanted them so... When they came home I PM him and he said I should of said I wanted A1 silkies!

I know my silk's aren't A1 but their not dogs either! I was so hurt. And then I go to the Fyreburg Fair Oct 6 and Mr. Prime sold me 2 cockerels Fizzles I just found out now that you guys have told me plus their starting to crow! I spoke w/ him for awhile at first stating I needed some hens cuz of too may boys and he sells me more. We talked about his girls mating my roos cuz one was a sizzle and he said that was okay. Oh well, a hiking they will go! Check my album for my babys cuz I'm having to go thru the whole ablum just to post a pic. :-( Well I should of gone to bed when I got up a little while ago. Now I need more ice and bed Night

For what its worth, all of your Silkies have normal, regular feathering (or they appear to). If that is the case, you won't be able to show them BC they would be disqualified

Not looking to show them, I just would like to have something to make me proud. But not show proud that's not my style. That's why I'm working on getting some nice hens to keep my 3 roos happy ;-) maybe
