Frostbite

I have a 2 Barred Rocks with suspected frostbite.

How's the ventilation in their coop? Often, the buildup of moisture in the coop can contribute to development of frostbite. Anecdotally, people recommend putting Bag Balm or petroleum jelly on the combs to prevent or treat it. I have several roosters with very large combs and they all seem to get a touch of it on the very tips of their combs - it usually heals just fine.

There's a lot of good info in this article: https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/frostbite.

What does frostbite look like on chicken's combs?
I'm really sad my guy has this and I can't get him any meds to help. This is what it looks like with berts bees treatment started. Frostbite is painfull and they peck at each other being curious making it worse.
