I’ve never found a recipe that says add a little water and cover with foil. I’m going to try it this way, thanks so much!!The way I cook winter squash is to cut them in half, take out the seeds and then place the pieces in a baking dish cut side down. Add a little water and cover with foil. Bake them in the oven until fork-soft. Then scoop out the soft flesh (doesn't that sound gross?) and mash it with butter, s&p like mashed potatoes. Or just leave the soft flesh (ugh, gross again) in the skin and add a pat of butter and s&p. Pretty simple but that's how we like it.

but you have that option.
That yard is difficult because it gets some brutal sun on summer afternoons so I think annuals will be the way to go in there. I have a rosemary plant in there too.
