The boy has a weekend job so had to bring the new ducks earlier than expected. The black and white one is Selene. Gray, white and black is Ripley and I renamed the Runner girl Connor.

Also shown is Stormy, Phoenix, Reds name has been changed to Henna.

Got the duck pool cleaned up and refilled. Ripley has short legs so I added a brick inside and out to assist with entry/exit, hope that helps. I’m consistently getting two duck eggs a day in the same spot under a bush. Still have no idea if the chickens are laying but I haven’t found any of their eggs since I kicked Attila out of her hiding spot and took what she had. The one cockerel is definitely her son; he’s got her bad attitude and has been a huge jerk to Phoenix. Think I’m going to end that sooner rather than later. Speaking of Phoenix, every time I go out with my phone I can’t get a good pic. When I go without it he’s usually nearby and I could get a perfect shot of his front. His chest is nice and bare with what looks to be maybe two feathers on his neck as a bow tie. Everyone seems to be getting used to each other; not quite at the point where they’re comfortable eating together, but the ducks are becoming less timid day by day. Stormy is still wild as can be and avoids me like the plague. I plan to change that once it cools off. Will try for better pics today.

Hope you can get some good photos IM...chickens are terrible about cooperating with a camera.

How are you preparing the duck eggs...like scrambled for breakfast or for baking?

Sunny side up on toast, egg salad sandwiches for hubs, a few omelettes for me, going to make deviled eggs next weekend. I don’t really bake much but was thinking about making a batch of brownies this week. They’re also really good on a spinach salad with warm bacon dressing; my favorite salad, I make it regularly. I haven’t perfected soft boiled with them yet, still working on the timing.
