I'm storing feed in 20 gallon trash cans. I like it.

I'm storing feed in galvanized trash cans. If you wiggle just right, can get 2 sealed bags into one can. I leave them in the bag to make sure the feed stays fresh. Otherwise the bottom of the can didn't get turned over often enough.

Word of caution. They are rain proof only if the lid stays on. I'm not sure if the temperature change popped the lid up or the bags of smooshed feed pushed the lid off, result was the lid came off.

I did discover the plastic ones are neither squirrel nor dog proof. Be wary.

I have the big galvanized one's too. The lid's fit tight, but I had to put a little bit of caulking on the inside of the lid by where the handle is, There's a small gap where bug's or water could get in.

I was going to do galvanized but these are kept inside on the tile floor. It gets so hot here in summer I don't store it out there. My dogs won't bother it. They'd rather eat books

IM, looks like the pups must have had a great time on their outing :)

They sure did! It really helps for them to get out and run. We have a Chuck It and they love to chase the ball.

IM, the broccoli seeds have sprouted! They're pretty tasty, we had them on a sandwich. I sprouted too many though so guess the girls will have a treat today (which is fine).

I can see it's going to take some experimenting to figure out what's the best amount for me to sprout.
