We got the mini coop off the ground today, I stirred the litter and added pdz to the poop board. We still have some work to do but the mini required 2 people.

The bottom pic shows the top of the mesquite tree in the front yard that will eventually provide more shade for the coop yard. We're going to put a bush and a grass frame in the empty area there in the corner. The grass frame has to be done with brick so we're going to price that and plan that project next.

We need to trim the tree but thunk our sin might have our saw. Not sure though

The black pullet in the back laid the egg in the second pic. I have a larger egg in the egg basket that I think came from one of the light colored girls in the pic. I saw the rooster mate with one of them earlier. What color are they? Light buff?

Snaps of the mealworm bins. I saw tiny worms go zipping by so the bettles have been busy.

Went for shade cloth and picked up a couple lantana for $5 each and a heavenly bamboo plant but NOT for the chicken yard for $3 on the clearance rack. The berries can cause cyanide poisoning.

Yup. I just scored some free blocks from my mom, not sure how many yet though.

Thanks! I'm pleased with them. Next is a good cleaning, then a small fan installation on the inside near the roof for this coop.

Looking pretty good back there. Hopefully it cools off a bit by the time the chicks need to go out. I thought it was hot here, but 110 is crazy.

Sometimes it get's even hotter than that over here, and some hen's want to pick that time to go broody.
