Fugly Farm

Pics
Went out to rake the coop yard today, there are small rocks out there and some are sharp. It's been sn ongoing project for a while. I let the littles out to explore and they had a lot of fun.

One of the big girls came to visit. No pecking, no mean behavior. I think she's the pullet that hatched from Fugly.

Reinforcements :gig

Loved the photos IM!

This mesquite tree is in our backyard. Hopefully some day it'll give us some shade back there. I had to cut some suckers off and remove the bricks. This weekend I'll move some compost in. This flock is still inexperienced enough they don't know when I do stuff out there they can dig in my holes.

I watered everything, few snaps from the protected garden area.

Behind the lattice is the compost pile. They make a huge mess out of it so I reassembled it today. I forgot to put an open bag of pine shavings in the shed and we had a storm a few nights ago. The poop bucket was stinky too so that all went on the bottom and I piled all the rest on top. Found some ant dens so I damaged their entrances and flooded them

The ant's rebuild after every time it rain's. I attacked 5 hill's of them after the day after the last storm that I found. There were a ton of ant's around them, but they are all dead ant's piled up around and in the holes now.

I moved the compost pile so they're going to move I bet.
