That's interesting about the mung beans. We're you eating them plain?

I've been looking forward to trying those.

I don't know about eating those plain, but year's ago I had a friend that was from the Philippines that cooked these and they were good. We ate them over some rice. I found the recipe online that look's like it.

Edit: I forgot to add that there were some shrimp that had been added to the one that she made.

Yes, plain. side garnish on a salad or sandwich topping or floating them in cooked beans. Did rinse them. No clue why. Crazy Lady didn't have an issue. After this pound of beans, on to something else.

Not all sprouters are equal. Ours does large beans well - Biosta sprouter. The alfalfa sits in water too much. Which works well for you?

Since I'm new to the sprouting game, so I followed igorsMistress lead and got an Easy Sprout from Sprout People.

I don't care for mung beans other than in Asian dishes, particularly fried rice or lo mein.

That's what I thought I would use the mungs in. We don't have a good Asian restaurant here so guess I'll have to try my hand at making my own.

We have a great Chinese place but they bread the chicken and pork and I don't like it that way. I make orange chicken at home instead.

I went into the mini coop to clean out the waterer and I am amazed at how quickly this new batch of chicks is growing out. They're a few days younger than the 3 Turken chicks but most are feathering in much faster and they're easily as big or bigger than the blue chipmunk (blue chipmunk was the biggest of the bunch for a minute).

According to the PA Igor didn't rupture any tendons in his ankle. He's in a walking cast, light duty at work and physical therapy until next appointment 12/24.

@igorsMistress have you written those weight's down, so you will have them handy for the next time that you weigh them? That will help you to determine what roo or roo's that you want to keep for your meat bird project.

I'm glad that Igor is ok, and it wasn't any worse than that.
