No, but thank you, too many things going on right now in the flock. I'm going to see what grows up from my chicks if any of my Turken eggs hatch.
Roger will probably end up being a temporary yard bird here then.

That's too bad.Roger will probably end up being a temporary yard bird here then.
It was always my intention to keep her. I really wanted to hatch eggs from her with Angus and then he died from the heat. I cried this year from those deaths. If I have more issues I'm done but Igor said he's going to put A/C in for them. I think that's ridiculous and it will kill us in electricity bills.
That's too bad.
Yup. If this summer becomes the norm I won't be able to do it any more. I can't stand to see them suffer like they have this year. It's hard to lose them. You guys have so much heat to deal with.
After this hatch I'm done for a while.Yes, but he's an older rooster now, at least too old that most won't want to eat. He still has more breeding time though, but most don't want a rooster. I have kept some of his daughter, but the new cockerel's will be adding some new genes. His son's will more than likely be going to the "teaching party" that @Parront is planning on having next month. I don't want to do anymore hatching until toward's spring.

I hope you all can figure out an affordable way to keep your chickens cool, I know it was hard on you to lose them! I looked at the first few pages and will slowly go through it, but figured I'd say hi for now!![]()

Oh my goodness Debby...I think you know me to well...I was just thinking that I might like to have some...You're in trouble now Rene...wait until you see all the NN pictures. Next thing you know, you'll have to have a few for yourself. Such awesome birds and the chicks are adorable![]()
I think these are possibly my youngest sons favorite breed!
