Fugly Farm

All set up except for a nest. They are heavy ladies, so they haven’t gone hungry, but their tail feathers look like they may have been damaged but not plucked and some other areas will need to be looked at. The barring is both black and brown so they’re a mix of some sort.

I wonder if they are originally from someone's Olive Egger project?

I dunno. One of them has a different comb, I’ll get a pic of it tomorrow. They came in small, medium and large lol. I don’t think they spent too much time out there in the box, they have dark combs and don’t seem stressed out from their adventure.

Few pics from today. I’m starting to put everyone on the roost at night. They’ve developed a bad habit of roosting on the brooder and I’m not going to let them do that. Even the babies can get up and down so it’s time.

The heat took out 3 and mister took out 1 after 5 went to my sons. I didn’t do the cut back. There are 9!Nn eggs in the incubator though.

I guess that I missed all of that when I was busy watching the neighbors animals for the 2 month's, and then my DH having that back surgery. DH went back yesterday for the DR. to check the stitches, and added 2 more stitches and prescribed some antibiotics for him.

I hope the antibiotics work & he heals up quickly!
