Fugly Farm

I'm shocked. My dogs (specifically Maggie) would have ripped the blankets off each other and had a vicious tug of war game.
They use a ball for that, so we buy them pretty much every time we order their food. Ridiculous.

I took a few noodles and some peas out to the crew, so fun to watch the chickens chase each other:gig

Watered earlier today and took down the solar string lights, what a waste of money and time. I had a second set of Tibetan prayer flags so I put those up; the world can certainly use more good mojo.

DH is staying home tomorrow, maybe all week, and we’re going to work in the yard. I think some mindless activity will help, we are waiting for news on his mom. She’s on hospice care and they’ve said she’s in transition to death and are just keeping her comfortable.

Just a little good news here.
IM,,,,,, my DD#3 and her hubby are in Phoenix currently. Short winter vacation. They went to Suns' game on Saturday, and will be going to another one on Monday.
Suns won against the Wizards :frow
As I took them to the bird cage early Saturday,,,,, I sent them off with MY GOOD VIBES :thumbsup ❤️
Told them to spread GOOD CHEER, throughout Phoenix.

Thanks Cavey, you’re a real gem you know that? :hugs

It’s rainy and cool here this morning. I am training the blue girls to use the coop and forgot to open the pop door. They’re all fine but were definitely ready to be out.

I transplanted the broccoli to the same bed as the cauliflower and sprinkled in some alyssum seed. This opens up the other bed for Roselle and sweet potatoes. Plus I read that they each attract insects that prey on each other. Still need to get the lattice cut and we’ve got an idea for shade during the summer. Need to dig out a couple grow bags for sunflowers and the Jerusalem artichokes and get those filled.

Sounds like the garden is shaping up, have fun!

The blue crew went into the coop on their own tonight and one of them went all the way up to the top roost. I’m going out after dark to see where everyone ends up but it only took two nights. They are the sweetest girls too, not mean to the ducks or the older girls.

Today has been a busy day. Dogs got to go to the park. We came home and got to work in the yard.

Removed the wood beds and cleaned up the rosemary and sage, etc. The dragon fruit is in the background of the last pic

Also got lattice trimmed and attached to the garden fence. This is phase one of our shade plan and pics of the beds today

The chickens have enjoyed digging in the dirt where I cut down one of the little trees and dug up a dead rosemary bush
