Shard let out a squawk of surprise and heard a sharp snap when she was bowled over into the tree by the gull. She went limp, appearing to be dazed.
Shard struggled, trying desperately to flap her wings while he was distracted. Unfortunately, the gull was smart, and had only tightened his grip on her as Moonlight advanced.
Shard rolled over onto her feet and attempted to fly at him, but then felt a sharp, agonizing pain in one of her wings. She glanced at it, annoyed, to see the end hanging loosely as she tried to tuck her wing in. That gull broke my wing! She realized, curling her toes, the glass shards tied to them clinking together.
Accepted!
One thing you should note, however, is that General One-Toe would never let a bird of a different species into the pigeon military, if that's what you were planning to do.
Accepted!
Remember, if you're going to play a hawk you have to make it realistic. If they come across a pigeon, they aren't going to just start chatting and become lifelong friends. If a hawk sees a pigeon, it's going to try and eat it. Unless, the hawk has some sort of reason for not killing the other bird right away (not hungry, bored, injured, curious, etc).
(I didn't have time to do anything more than read the posts, and didn't want to rush my reply.)
Shard opened her beak in alarm, thrashing and flapping her good wing. Her glass razor-talon caught on Lore's skin, and Shard tore it away, blood on the glass.
