"I would like to ask for your assistance on a current assignment," Moonlight said curtly. "I do hope you understand the importance." She glanced around to make sure there were no onlookers. "A lieutenant was injured in a very strange accident, involving a couple pigeons, a gull, and an owl. It is mandatory that we hunt down these fugitives and put them to justice. However, they could be in any of the three other territories."

Magnolia flapped helplessly to keep from dragged. Hunger soon gnawed at her, for crows cannot sustain flight for long without eating, and it weakened her. Magnolia soon hung limply, swinging at the end of the cord upsidedown, exhausted by the days events.
"Of course, you come to me to clean up your mistakes." Blizzard grumbled. He sighed and brought a wing to his face, brushing off his short beak. "I'm guessing your lieutenant attacked some birds minding their own business and found that they could fight back?" He questioned, his amber eyes glittering with satisfaction as he saw Moonlight tense at his words.

The raven tied to her grumbled in annoyance and pulled at the twine with her other foot, eventually getting Magnolia close enough to grab her feet in her talons.
Aspen followed them
"GET OFF ME YOU EGG-SUCKERS." Pinto screeched as soon as his beak was free, as he was lifted into the air he batted his wings in the opposite direction and tried to pull away like a wild dog tied to a chain.

Barky's first primal reaction was to smirk. "You do that and what are you gonna tell that lieutenant of mine?" He shot quick, fleeting glances around the surrounding area. "You think she'd believe a black-bird like you over her own kind? I've done this for a long time. If you think I can't find my way out of this one you're wrong."
The raven tied to Pinto grunted in surprise and flapped her wings backwards, trying to stay in place.

"I think that lieutenant of yours doesn't care whether I come along either way and is just biding her time in getting rid of me." Claw growled, taking a step closer to the pigeon. "Now, I think our.. friends would like to know of each other's existence, eh? Could be better for both of us.."

The clever pigeon's words were horribly accurate, and Moonlight's eyes narrowed. Didn't he see the power right in his grasp? Why did he not see all that he could do for the good of pigeons?
"Those birds were on land that was unrightfully taken from us,"Moonlight said without answering his questions. "Now, do we have a deal?" She well knew she didn't.

When Pinto started struggling, Aspen went up to him and pecked him. "Stop struggling, even if you get free, there's too many of us for you to get away."
Thattel, who had been flying near, heard her words and his head whipped around to look at who had said them. Seeing Aspen flying by the struggling crow, he narrowed his eyes and flew closer.
Pinto roared at Aspen, trying to claw her and all the while shrieking distress calls. For a crow he was big and strong, but that's really all he had going for him.
She easily dodged his claws then dived down and grabbed some blades of grass. She quickly tied his beak shut, hoping no nearby crows had heard his distress call.
Since they were both suspended in the air and he saw her coming, Pinto was able to easily dodge her.
She sighed and decided it was useless. She left him alone and knew if he escaped from the raven he was tied to, the rest of the gang would capture him again
Shadow swooped down to Pinto's level, sailing over the trees with ease. "It's no use," she cawed, seemingly unconcerned by his struggles. "Though if you keep irritating me and Azaz-" she nodded to the raven above them, "-then your little friend might lose the use of her eyes."

Blizzard looked thoughtful. He examined a claw, carefully scratching at a bit of dried mud on it. "Say I don't accept. What would you do?" He asked slowly, keeping his voice even and continuing to look disinterested.

"Scour the four territories by myself," Moonlight sighed. "Ask the General for reinforcements," she mumbled under her breath. But she knew the stingy pigeon wouldn't spare one tracker, they were already spread too thinly. This was something she may have to handle on her own, a daunting concept. It could improve his esteem for her though, a tempting thought.
Blizzard was the best tracker of all of them anyways. "I need you," she said, words she rarely spoke.

"I don't think we're quite understanding each other.." He took a step back. "The pigeons are getting restless, you should know that much. All the birds in downtown are getting their feathers ruffled about a vicious gull and raptor who broke their dear lieutenant's wing. Everyone always has a way of making themselves out to be the good guy in times like this. And just imagine--" He took another step back and stumbled over a stick. "--One of our upstanding leaders decides in a moment of good will and generosity to give their black-bird counterparts a chance and trust them, despite everything. Maybe they can work together, just this once, for the benefit of both parties. Only to find that as soon as she turned her back the dirty hive-pecker brutally murdered her associate....You got a good brain on ya hon, but you don't think politics."

Claw smirked. "You see, that's where you're wrong," she cawed, sticking her beak right by his face, "I don't need to think politics. All I need to do is get my job done." She purred. Suddenly, Claw stepped back, her intimidating stance no more. "Let's talk like civilized birds. I know that the pigeon military isn't the only one you're working for."

Barky tilted his head, looking at her with interest. "You don't care about the well-being of your own kind? You don't care about this potential war?"

Claw laughed bitterly. "There's nothing anyone can do to stop the war." She cawed, "Only make sure you have the right allies.. then you might survive it."
