~>Fury of the Wind<~ (A Bird RP)

Thattel, who had been flying near, heard her words and his head whipped around to look at who had said them. Seeing Aspen flying by the struggling crow, he narrowed his eyes and flew closer.

Shadow swooped down to Pinto's level, sailing over the trees with ease. "It's no use," she cawed, seemingly unconcerned by his struggles. "Though if you keep irritating me and Azaz-" she nodded to the raven above them, "-then your little friend might lose the use of her eyes."
That stopped Pinto in his tracks. He stared at them in silence before abruptly crying out in rage and flapping his wings every which way in frustration. He then followed the ravens slowly, murder was in his eyes.

"Scour the four territories by myself," Moonlight sighed. "Ask the General for reinforcements," she mumbled under her breath. But she knew the stingy pigeon wouldn't spare one tracker, they were already spread too thinly. This was something she may have to handle on her own, a daunting concept. It could improve his esteem for her though, a tempting thought.
Blizzard was the best tracker of all of them anyways. "I need you," she said, words she rarely spoke.
(Thought I replied to this... :/)

Blizzard considered turning the general away. It certainly would make things a lot easier, especially seeing as he wouldn't have to hunt down birds that were probably the victims in this case. Finding innocent birds to pay the price of your mistakes, eh? Wouldn't be that unfamiliar... He shook the thought from his head. Then he looked around at the pigeons who were scattered about them, including Splash, who was preening a little ways away. He thought about the ragtag group of non-members, deserters, and outsiders that had become his flock. His family. He sighed. "Alright," Blizzard cooed, sounding defeated. "I'll come. But I need something in return."
Barky sighed and scratched at the ground, pursing his beak.
Claw stared at him carefully. "Are we gonna talk about this or not?" She asked, tired of the conversation that was proving to be completely unhelpful.

Azaz shot him a glare and yanked at the twine, continuing to go higher into the clouds so the forest was just a blurry green sea below.
(@RoostersAreAwesome I'm not accusing you of anything, life can get hectic. But how is it that you always go AWOL right when you become the leading role in the RP?)
(Oof, sorry about that. Guess I just started procrastinating when I couldn't think of a reply...)

When Pinto started struggling, Aspen went up to him and pecked him. "Stop struggling, even if you get free, there's too many of us for you to get away."

Thattel flew side by side with Aspen. "Say, today's pretty clear. Perfect for flying up high." He cawed casually, slowing down a bit.

Moonight's piercing white eyes studied Blizzard's red ones, searching for any signs of self-interest. Just sincerity, and worry. Pupils wide but steady. Her beak drew into a line as she looked at the other birds scattered around them. She'd expected his request in advance, but only now realised what he might want.
"Ok," she said evenly. She looked back at his eyes, waiting until they locked. It has to do with them doesn't it? She asked with her mind, wondering if he had the skill to read it.

Magnolia's eyes flicked open suddenly as she flapped to support her weight with her wings, heart pumping quickly. She may not have found it very easy to sleep upsidedown and it may have been a way out of flying the the whole way there. "No!" She gasped, eyes wide. "Are you going to drop me?"
(
my mistake)

(Thattel isn't carrying her, and is talking to Aspen.)

Blizzard's eyes met hers, and in them Moonlight saw how he was angry at himself for this, but she also saw a strange determination. A determination to protect his flock, at all costs. To the silent question, he answered it out loud. "I need guaranteed protection for all the pigeons here.. in my flock. A couple moons ago, a good friend of mine went missing. She was a great bird; only left the gangs because she didn't agree with the fighting. Never caused trouble after that, never got food from anywhere near the city. I would like it if you made sure no one else disappears again." During all this he had kept his gaze on her steady. Moonlight could see there was no way he was going to change his proposal.

Moonlight dipped her dark beak sagely. "I can guarantee that. It's a great thing to ask for though, and it means this won't be the last time I ask for your assistance. If you can promise me that, I can promise you this."
Moonlight tilted her head away. Not often did she wonder about the lives of her fellow citizens. It wasn't part of her job. But she couldn't help but wonder what Blizzard's relationship with this bird was.
"Well, I suppose we must be going. No time can be wasted. Enough was as it is," Moonlight said briskly as she rose out of her slouch in a hurry, fluffing her feathers back into their regular order. She severed the bizarre connection that eye contact would engender, dehumanizing the other pigeon and also marking the end of their conversation.
"Let's fly."
(Depigeonizing?)
