~>Fury of the Wind<~ (A Bird RP)

Barky sighed and scratched at the ground, pursing his beak.
Claw laughed bitterly. "There's nothing anyone can do to stop the war." She cawed, "Only make sure you have the right allies.. then you might survive it."
(Thought I replied to this... :/)

Blizzard considered turning the general away. It certainly would make things a lot easier, especially seeing as he wouldn't have to hunt down birds that were probably the victims in this case. Finding innocent birds to pay the price of your mistakes, eh? Wouldn't be that unfamiliar... He shook the thought from his head. Then he looked around at the pigeons who were scattered about them, including Splash, who was preening a little ways away. He thought about the ragtag group of non-members, deserters, and outsiders that had become his flock. His family. He sighed. "Alright," Blizzard cooed, sounding defeated. "I'll come. But I need something in return."

Claw stared at him carefully. "Are we gonna talk about this or not?" She asked, tired of the conversation that was proving to be completely unhelpful.

Azaz shot him a glare and yanked at the twine, continuing to go higher into the clouds so the forest was just a blurry green sea below.

(Oof, sorry about that. Guess I just started procrastinating when I couldn't think of a reply...)
(You think Ronald could be part of this group and a friend of Blizzard's? It's okay, I do that too. I was just worried you were gonna leave the RP again for months at a time.)

Barky's hard eyes stared back cynically. "Why is this so important to you?" He countered carefully, watching her every movement to see if she would come at him again. He wanted to buy himself time.

Riski tilted his wings and dove into the first line of trees, feeling a rush. Adrenaline was an efficient, powerful source of energy, and Riski basically ran off of it.
He whooped. "We did it Fish Sticks!" He glanced back at the gasping gull dragging behind him. That gull probably hadn't flew this far this fast in like, ever. "I guess we can rest if that's what you want."
He looked up at the sky. Most gulls were circling back. He heard murmurings of "It's not worth it," and ominous growling about "ravens" and hushed whispers about "not-gulls." Others just swung around lazily.
The larger gull who had challenged him narrowed his yellow eyes menacingly at Riski, but he felt relatively safe behind the dark line of spruce.
He realized then that Fish Sticks didn't have to follow him at all. It wasn't like he was an accomplice to Riski. Riski certainly didn't have to involve him. But Riski really wasn't one for apologies, so he gave the gull a sympathetic glance as he landed on a pile of pine needles. "So... what about these raven fellows?"

Moonlight dipped her dark beak sagely. "I can guarantee that. It's a great thing to ask for though, and it means this won't be the last time I ask for your assistance. If you can promise me that, I can promise you this."
Moonlight tilted her head away. Not often did she wonder about the lives of her fellow citizens. It wasn't part of her job. But she couldn't help but wonder what Blizzard's relationship with this bird was.
"Well, I suppose we must be going. No time can be wasted. Enough was as it is," Moonlight said briskly as she rose out of her slouch in a hurry, fluffing her feathers back into their regular order. She severed the bizarre connection that eye contact would engender, dehumanizing the other pigeon and also marking the end of their conversation.
"Let's fly."
(Depigeonizing?)
Blizzard sighed, "Fine," he growled, knowing that it was the only way to guarantee his flock's safety. "I'm coming," he said, lifting into the sky alongside the lieutenant.
Can I join??
(Sure! I can get you a short summary, if you want?)

(That would be great)

"I just want to know who I'm working with," Claw replied, noticing the way he watched her. She suddenly hopped forward, then laughed as he tensed. "I'm not gonna kill you, ya know." She cawed, a gleam in her eyes.

"Huh?" Fish Sticks asked, looking fearfully up at Vaatras. "We should go deeper in," he suddenly squawked, flapping his tired wings and lifting into the air once again.

Vaatras circled in frustration. He wanted to keep chasing that lousy big seagull-thing, but his reinforcements were less certain. "C'mon, ya weak-spined feather dusters!" He barked, "They ain't with the ravens, and anyway, we could take a few notguls!"

He gritted his beak, and was deep in thought for several moments. "You can meet him, if you want. But I'd have to talk to him first, and he lives deep in pigeon territory." After a pause, he added frigidly, "And you can't tell him about the circumstances in which we met." He was alarmed to find himself struggling to breath, but he masked this by becoming unusually stiff.

Soon after Blizzard left Ronald landed smack dab in the middle of the non-member group, coming from seemingly out of nowhere, he was still hot from his morning's interaction with his grandson, and wanted to vent about it here.

Moonlight ate up the air with great, wide strokes of her wings. "So, where could we find a pigeon, an owl, and a gull?"
It was frustrating to have no idea, but she knew Blizzard would find them no matter the circumstances. He always stuck to his word.

Riski nodded at the gull. Fish Stick's grey and white wings seemed to be weighed down by boulders, but he flew on without complaining. Riski was beginning to feel the effects of the claustrophobic forest weighing down on him as well. Sure, he had been from the savannah to exotic places that the locals apparently called "Missouri," but he still hadn't gotten used to going through trees. His scowl deepened as his long flat wing hit a branch. Also, this forest seemed dark and sinister, though that could have just been the long shadows of another lazy summer afternoon. Whatever these ravens were like, they were strange to want to live here.

Pigeon
Name: Russet
Age: 4 years
Gender: m
Personality: Rather friendly and outgoing but has an abrasive sense of humor. He was timid at a young age, but now will fight with admirable bravery if it is for Cement's sake.
Description: Ash red bar. He is larger and rounded with orange eyes.
Rank/Status: gang member (Cement's gang)
Family (if significant): brother eaten by a night-stalker. Mother murdered by Sulliver's gang because of a discrepancy. Father's whereabouts unknown.
Mate: Cement maybe???
Chicks: none
History: Russet's family was in constant fear of the threat of Sulliver. Russet knew it wasn't safe. His father was already gone. His brother -of which he cared little for- was dead. When his mother was found dead, Russet was all alone. And he felt like a target.
He was reluctant to join a gang, but a clever young pigeon was assembling one. It wasn't about greed or anything. They felt safe with each other. They fought for each other. Now Russet is one of the "vetrans" in the gang, and fights with loyalty and bravery.

Claw smirked. "That's fine by me," she said, "as long as you aren't gonna run away." She turned and flew up onto a lower branch. "I'll be waiting here."
At his last words, she lazily stretched a wing. "Sure.. wouldn't want the boss to know you almost got your neck snapped." She grinned at him from above.

Splash, who was watching the sky where the lieutenant and Blizzard had disappeared, jumped at his appearance. "Oh. Hey there, Ronald." He said in a friendly way, "How's Paula?"
