Fish Sticks, completely forgetting what he had been talking about just a second ago, cocked his head at the smaller gull in surprise. "Well, certainly not all gulls! I know some named such obscure things like 'Solteraz' or 'Copletaan'. Have no idea what those names are supposed to mean, seem like weird choices as somethin' you'd wanna be called.." He fell silent, trying to figure out why you would possibly want to name yourself something like that.
"Those are rather strange names. No respect for gull kind. Our names are symbols of bravery! I used to be called 'Sebastian' until I stole some crackers, ya know," Ritz desperately tried to keep up with the conversation. It was no wonder he remained with the soft spoken Bonapartes.

"You think my name is weird, I know. All us gulls are named after what they eat. It's a sign of pride. But I never heard of a crow by the name of 'Outcast' before..." Ritz stood gracefully on one foot.
Outcast stared at him, perplexed. "Huh, odd." She shifted from foot to foot uncomfortably. "Most crows are named after aspects of nature, or names that mean something about nature. Like Storm or Shadow. Their purpose is to represent you."
"Hmm. Yes, good names." Fish Sticks muttered. He cocked his head at Outcast. "The city? I've been there. A nice place." He considered her. "You know, last time I was there I met an odd sort of fellow- a pigeon, actually! Anyway, he said that he knew I wouldn't hurt him because he had seen me in the sky. Strange, isn't it? Well, I asked him what he meant, but then I saw half a corn dog being thrown away- can you believe that? Half a corn dog! So ungrateful, humans are. Corn dogs are vital!" After a moment of silence, he squinted at the water, confused. "Now, what was I saying?"
Outcast's eyes darkened at the mention of a pigeon. "You're lucky then, pigeons usually take any chance they get to attack, cause as much damage as they can. Uh, yeah, humans are very strange."

"Interesting." Outcast mumbled.

"Yeah, pigeons are pretty horrible. I've heard of what they can to to us gulls with those strange bits of metal they stick to their legs. I'm surprised those parasitic starlings don't make good contenders. Probably cause the humans don't feed starlings in the park. They're awful ugly," Ritz squished up his dark face in an ugly grimace.

Fish Sticks nodded approvingly to Ritz's speech on names. "Hmm," He muttered, listening to Outcast. "In my experience, pigeons-" He broke off when Ritz spoke. "You think starlings are bad? Well, let me tell you about sparrows. Those little slippery critters..." He shivered, bringing one foot up to tuck against his body. "Sparrows give me the creeps! I swear, they're planning to murder us all in our sleep."

(I like how Ritz and Outcast are trying to make normal conversation while Fish Sticks is over here like "I heard from a raven once that the squirrels told him the trees are planning a rebellion" XD)

Once morning came Lore peeked out from under the garbage bin. Most owls would sleep during the day but not Lore. She was a burrowing owl and they are active during the day and Lore wanted to have a quick look around for a possible burrow spot. Lore strutted out from under the bin and flew up to a tree. Her stomach felt empty and she spotted a mouse nibbling on an apple core. Lore swooped down from the tree and snatched it killing it and eating it whole. After her hunger was satisfied, Lore spotted a peculiar pidgeon with feathered feet. She wanted to get a better look so propped herself up on a picnic bench. @9SpiceyChickens she sees Angel!

"Sparrows? Those are weak things. And cute," Ritz muttered. "What could sparrows do?"

"All right," Earl knocked him brutally into an oak and he collapsed. An audible snap was heard, but that could have been a twig. His killer instincts had receded as he aged into a common scavenger.
"Naught so even as a tribute to his own miserable species..." he whispered, walking slowly away. The cloud of ravens settled back into their feeding frenzy.
Earl was so confused at this strange pigeon he couldn't eat much more.
The oddest pigeon he had met, and unfortunately he had met many.

(Yeah. Let him get away, only sore.)
(What happened to Pud? Did Earl leave? I'm confused. )
