Vaatras squawked and whipped his huge bill around. He jabbed at Fish Sticks’ eyes, which were widened in fright.Vaatras landed heavily in front of Fish Sticks, eyeing him in a more annoyed fashion than he had been before. “Stop runnin’, coward!” He said, his taunt doing nothing but made Fish Sticks back up farther. Soon, the two pigeons and the rest of the gulls (plus Riski) had flew over, giving them suitable room, but not going far enough that they couldn’t view the battle. There was much squawking and even a few bets. The closest thing to currency for seagull consists of pieces of dried seaweed, fish scraps, or even a particularly interesting French fry (uninteresting fries are instantly eaten, though the occasional ones with odd shapes are sometimes kept until they grow as stale and hard as rock).
Vaatras inched sideways towards Fish Sticks. Fish Sticks scuttled sideways in the opposite direction.
Vaatras tried the other way. That didn’t work either.
With a squawk of frustration, Vaatras came to the realization that he would have to attack first. Well, good thing he excelled at that.
Vaatras stretched his neck up, holding his wings slightly to the side as he approached, first slowly, then with a run, giving his wings a flap for momentum.
Fish Sticks shot into the air in perhaps the quickest takeoff he had made in his life.
Despite his little common sense screeching at him to flee, he forced his wings to take him back to the ground right behind Vaatras.
Fish Stick’s ringed bill shot forward to firmly grab Vaatras’ tail.
Fish Sticks crouched, backing away slowly, his beak still clamped on Vaatras’ tail.
Vaatras raised his wings and flapped them in intimidation. Fish Sticks’ beak opened seemingly of its own accord, and he hopped backwards.
Vaatras approached, his posture once again rigidly forward and aggressive. Fish Sticks, still trying to make himself as small and unpeckable as possible, stepped away hastily. But he didn’t flee, much to Vaatras’ displeasure.
Vaatras flapped into the air and bowled heavily into Fish Sticks.
