~>Fury of the Wind<~ (A Bird RP)

Fish Sticks accepted the fish. As he took it from Ritz’s beak, he had a sudden feeling of having done something much like this before.

Fish Sticks quickly swallowed the fish and shook his beak back and forth, trying to remember.

Well, I’ve probably eaten a fish before. Fish Sticks thought triumphantly.

Wait, that wasn’t it…

Fish Sticks gave his companion a sideways look. “Have you ever eaten a fish?” He asked. Realizing a few moments later that the question made no sense, he quickly added, “Uh, with me, I mean. Not with squirrels or nothin’ like that.”
(XD)
"Yes I did!" said Ritz. "You remember, right?" He wasn't sure whether to be proud Fish Sticks remembered that or disappointed that Fish Sticks stupidity caused him to set the bar so low in the first place.

Fish Sticks nodded. “Sorta.” He admitted. He crept closer to Ritz, a suspicious look forming on his face, as if he had come to an unfortunate realization.

“Ritz Crackers..” Fish Sticks whispered, “listen.. I think those dang squirrels gave me am- amneks- anemisk-” Finally giving up on trying to say amnesia, he squawked, “..took my memory!”

"What squirrels?" Ritz asked. He looked around, a thought slowly dawning on him. "Oh, you bumped your head on a rock, didn't you. Well of course, you almost died! Do you remember being leader? Leader of the gulls?" Desperation edged his voice. If the amnesia bit was true, returning Fish Sticks to his rightful position would be very hard.

“Me, gulleader?” Fish Sticks scoffed, disbelief plain on his face. “Who would listen to me?”

“And I never hit my head..” Fish Sticks trailed off as he looked up and realized they were on the side of Eggshell Island where a steep cliff dropped into the sea, the cliff-face riddled with jagged rocks.

“Oh.”

“Everyone did. And your adviser was this big gull...” Ritz lowered his voice and looked around, worried the large seabird would hear him. If he was actually a gull, what Ritz said next would get him in trouble. “He isn’t actually a gull, right? He doesn’t look like one. “

Fish Sticks’ shook his head, slightly frustrated. “I don’t remember!” He squawked. He started to pace in a tight circle, which was all their small, rocky perch would allow. “I can’t believe I was gulleader…” He muttered to himself.

I suppose he probably needs some things explained then.
“You were. You told us this rousing speech and told us to go to war against the pigeons,” said Fish Sticks, realizing how silly he must sound to the amnesiac. Go on. He decided to risk the term ‘almost-gull,’ since the large gull-like bird wasn’t gullish enough and it had not yet made an appearance. “We don’t know how you got back here but you and that big almost-gull were chased to the raven territory by Vatraas and his dump-supporters. We were preparing to go to war when Vatraas challenged you. Someone suggested a fight, and he knocked you down here. We all thought you died. But you didn’t!” Is that a good thing? Will he be alive for long if Vaatras finds out?

Fish Sticks stared at Ritz in both confusion and disbelief. Speeches? Pigeon war?! I fought Vaatras? Why would I do that? All this and more went through his head and came to no reasonable conclusion. Maybe the squirrels were involved after all.

“You’re sure.. ‘bout all that?” Fish Sticks asked almost nervously. “Last I remember, I was on the pier sharing fish with you and some notguls.” He said uncertainly.

If it was all true, Fish Sticks had a strange and eventful few days. If it had been only a few days. For all he knew, years had passed since his last memory.

“That was a couple of days ago. I think,” Ritz said. (Frankly I don’t know) It had been an eventful couple of days. Too eventful for a small fries like him.

“And I fell?” Fish Sticks asked. He stretched out his wings to their full length, the ends of his feathers in Ritz’s face. “So that’s,” he winced, “why my wing hurts.”
