Mice.
It seems we finally have an invasion. I've always wondered why the feed was spilled randomly. It turns out there are mice living under the coops.

Any advice on how to get rid of them?

Strong peppermint. I used to drop it around the outside of the coup. Then fill in any open part's around the coup with metal scrub pads.

Her feathers are still growing in. I'll try to get a pic once she's fully feathered again.

Arabel, still tiny, nothing for comb yet.

Koonj, no comb, but has wattles starting. About the same size as Aunties Lark and Indigo.

Matilda, has comb coming in, about as tiny as Arabel. Are these 2 going to grow?

Mortimer, hormones have hit. He's also about the same size as mama PITA.

Jax, (like Tundra) is midsized, not quite as big as Whiskey and Tuff. Hawthorne is about the same size as W and T. Neither Tundra nor Hawthorne would cooperate on pics. Tundra doesn't have the flag tail feathers yet, the others do.

It's so cold outside, brrr. With crystal clear skies which makes it feel even colder, somehow. It's 23°F currently. When it's warm enough out, I don't close the pop door to the coop at night. I'll bet the girls are glad I closed it last night! I'm looking into getting a coop heater, since this winter is forecast to be a rough one, and they're all molting right now.

I have a couple of Sweeter Heaters, they are rather dear, but my gang likes hanging out under them.

How big is your coop? Can you walk into it?
