fuzzi's Chicken Journal

I was going to try 4 days. There are some studies available and they suggest I could have an 80% survival from Marek's after 4 days. But I don't know if that is too long from a chick point of view.
Sorry @fuzzi, wasn't trying to hijack your thread - but I was taken with your Naomi little chicks story.
I'm always pleased when people visit my thread.

If it makes you feel better, post chicken photos/tax, like we do in @Shadrach 's thread.

This is Tassels the broody in question (bottom). She is accepting an egg donation from her sister Calypso.
The way it works is Calypso will lay her egg on top of Tassels who will then roll the egg off her back and tuck it under.

Do chicks with clean legs develop feathers on them later?
Looks like she's doing great with the chicks!

As far as I know, if they are clean legged now, they shouldn't develop feathers on the legs later on.

Feather legged breeds hatch with fluff already on the legs...
Grabbed this Photo of Assorted Feather Legged Bantams from Meyer.
