We saw tennis shoe tracks in the dirt - so I am guessing 2- 2 legged varmints.
We have lots of deer coming through chewing on the apple trees and cleaning up the fallen fruit also, but they are forgiven.

Wild Asparagus - Asparagus grows wild here in Wisconsin along fence rows, on the edges of clearings and in the ditches. Asparagus pickers are worse than fisherman about keeping the hot spots secret. One day last spring I watched 5 cars pull over on the side of the road and people get out and hunt for asparagus in the ditch and field edge - and they all found some!
My neighbor laughs at me because I don't have Asparagus eyes yet and I miss a lot when I go out to pick, lol.

Wow! Boy do I need a greenhouse! I planted seeds in late February/early March in little pots indoors. I have seedlings! You have Vegetables!!
I started my tomato seeds on March 16 except for the Gold Nugget Tomato and 2 King Arthur pepper plants which sprouted in August of last year. Those three plants have been producing all winter. I have almost finished off two Romaine lettuce plants that i grew in the house. The salad and all the sandwiches garnished with lettuce have wonderful.

The one thing that helps my plants do so well (other than actual sunshine) is azomite (2nd link).
