Omg I grew those two years ago! They were really like dangerous hot! I shaved a tiny tiny piece of the end just to test it out and I thought it was going to burn a hole in my tongue. We are chili heads here but those.... nope!

I don't grow any peppers, but I do like the flavor hot peppers bring to meal. Jalapenos are common here, but they are not considered very hot. I do make Chili probably more often than average homosapien. I like using the Ro*tel with habaneros diced tomatoes:drool:drool:drool. Gives chili different flavor than jalapenos.
I know that jars of habaneros in the grocery store do have a warning label. Jars are not very large ether. It takes a very small amount into a large pot of whatever, to let you know it's there.:old
I don't like food too spicy hot that it creates discomfort inside mouth. DW is much more sensitive to hot than I. What I consider MEDIUM:drool, she categorizes as HOT.

I also like their original formula.:celebrate

I like spicy but not so much as to cause pain.
I agree with you 110% :thumbsup ,,, My method of trial and error when not sure is;;;; add 1/4 of the contents into your cooking. (meaning 1/4 of the can of Ro*Tel diced toms. NOT 1/4 CAN OF PREPARED HABANEROS:gig) If still can handle more, then just add. This way you don't waste a good pot of whatever by OVER SEASONING IT.:old

I took a chile pepper cooking class here in New Mexico. Sure, you can use gloves. However, I find the capsaicin -- although initially uncomfortable -- made arthritic hands feel much better if the chiles were handled raw. And, after a bit a lot of chile roasting, you don't even notice.
The chef, however, did give the caveat "Don't rub your eyes. And for God's sake, don't get near anybody you love." ;)
