Gardening for Old Folks (Adaptative)

Our daughter had an Anatolian. She kept her for 7 years, then gave her to us. We kept her until she died at 16 years old. The best dog we ever had.
We raised the Maremmas and sold puppies all over the USA. In all we sold about 50 puppies and a few adults. Lots of work involved.
They are great dogs. I have a female Great Pyrenees and Komondor cross, Boone and Ellie got hung up one night, it was her first heat cycle, I had it on the calendar as 2 weeks to go, lady we got Ellie from just guessed at her birthday, I was gone out of town a few days and came home to a bred female, now I have a few 8 month old pups I kept from an their first breeding she had 10 pups, we sold them all very quickly, surprised to see so many people wanting big white dogs, LGDs.. I love a big dog..

16 is way old for an Anatolian!
Yes , it is. She was deaf and going blind, maybe not so deaf, maybe she had ignoring us down to a science.
She never had pups. When DD bought her, she had to agree to have her fixed.
In all of her years, I never heard her growl . Didn't bark much, either.

Just like children!
No matter what command we would give to her, she would cock her head to one side and look at us for a few seconds, and then usually do it. but she had to think about it first.
might be a warm and dry enough day to try to do something outside.
first gonna have a cuppa.

Sorry about the non-gardening pictures lately.. hope y’all don’t mind.. but I went fishin again this mornin.. just for a few hours.. too many chores to do at home.. but managed to catch a few nice channel cats (1 was a piebald) and a few small channels and some small blues.. and I threw back 15 little sand bass (bait stealers).. the wife caught 1 dink channel cat and threw it back and then she had 2 good ones get off before she landed them.. windy is an understatement.. ready for calm winds once again.. hope everyone has a great weekend.. and y’all get some stuff done..

I enjoy the fish pictures. I can't go fishing unless my brother picks me up.
that doesn't happen very often.
I called about my tractor at noon. surprisingly I got a call back.
He has the head off. The head gasket was not blown. In fact, the head is cracked. He found another head and it is at the machine shop. If it is warped they will true it up. they will also check it for cracks. I imagine they will grind the valve seats while they are at it.
I sure will be glad to get it home.
today I finished mulching the rest of the garlic and strawberries.
