View attachment 3362811View attachment 3362812Then there is this girl. Still not certain where this barring came from, just that it wasn't from Mama

Maybe I'll throw the spitzhaubens back with him then nest spring If he's still around..... she's quite the looker. I call her CU-Co (with that emphasis too, like for the Coco perfume commercial where the guy calls her name from the balcony)
Did you try this experiment? I'm curious whether you got any more like that pullet.

Do you have any white birds?
If blue birds looked almost black they would not hide barring, it is the dilution that causes that.
I am thinking it most likely that your white birds are hiding blue and barred, if you have any white birds.
I have dominant white birds. The rooster is incomplete dominant white. Did you mean recessive white?

This is dad

And this is mom

The roo's mom was a dominant white leghorn. His dad was what I think was a Phoenix x golden laced polish. The hen's mom was a white leghorn x mixed breed game that was golduckwingish colored.
Leghorns, some do hide barring.
A better picture of the rooster in better lighting will help determine if he's barred, or not.

I know the exact parents of one of them, since it has feathered feet and only one hen in my flock has feathered feet and I only had one roo at the time.
Is this a blue chick or a barred one or both?
Perhaps your rooster is actually splash rather than dominant white.
Maybe splash hides barring even better than blue.
