Getting Chickens soon!!

They are full grown well-laying hens from a friend of mine. 2 Barred Rocks, a Partridge Rock, and 2 Buff Orpingtons. I am so exited!! Any tips for a rookie on stress-less moving?

I have always filled a crate with straw and then brought a towel to cover said crate if they get to upset.
And I agree, we need pictures to name them

Ooo congrats! I love barred rocks, mine is super sweet. And the partridge rock too, I have a chick and she doesn't mind sitting in your hand.

Whatever you do.... DO IT AT NIGHT!!!!! That way they wont put up a fuss or anything, especially when you are getting them from your friend and taking them home. It makes it much less stressfull for them becuase at night chickens shut down, so they will just be like "whatever" and you dont have to worry about them freaking out or anything. Hope that helped! ok. I'm going with a nature theme.
For the Barred Rocks, I'm thinking Rocky and Quartz maybe
For the partridge, maybe Willow.
For the buffs, maybe Sunflower and Daffodil.
