Nicole grabbed a banana from the fruit basket as shhe walked out of the apartment she shared with her mom, munching on the fruit. She always left on Saturdays. Jake, her mom's boyfriend came on Saturdays. She didn't like Jake. Her feet issued an echo as she walked down several flights of stairs to the ground floof. And who else was to be in the lobby but Jake?
"Nicole-" Jake's greeting was stopped short by her piercing glare as she bumped past him to the door. As Nicole walked down the road to the ever-expanding city borders.

Daisy landed on her back. She looked around to make sure no one was looking. She shape shifted into a human. She walked over and pet the dog. "shape shift into a human." She whispered.

"No way. It's too dangerous." She said inside daisy's head. It was one of her abilities to speak to someone inside their head. But they couldn't speak back unless they had the same ability, which she doubted daisy had.
