Does This Sound Like A Good Idea Silkie Lovers?

So I just discovered this thread and am not going to take the time to read all 144 pages of it. 😂
I voted yes to giant silkies! I had some several years ago (regular size, of course) and adored them, although for us they weren't the most useful, we have chickens for eggs. The broodiness is appealing and if I can have birds with the instincts and personalities of silkies, but the ability to hatch more eggs... :drool

What is the latest on the development of these birds? And do we think/know if once these are bred you can breed giant silkie to giant silkie?

Not much at the moment. I do plan to continue the project, but hit abit of a hiccup recently.

I don't see why they couldn't be bred together.

I don't yet have any new thoughts on the oddball silkie.

Did you say the feathers are silked? I'm not good at recognizing silkie vs. normal feathers at this age.
The feathers are Silkied. It'll be more noticeable on week 2.
