I've been raising this chick for a few weeks now and am pretty new to chickens. Does anyone know what gender it is? Either one would be fine but I am curious! It was from a straight run bin at atwoods.

Can you tell what mine is then?

Nope. Wyandottes are weird. Wait a few weeks. The males will develop gold (or silver) shoulders, and the females will have laced shoulders. You shouldn't try to sex by comb or tail with Wyandottes; the rose combs turn pink early no matter the gender, and their tails stick upright.

Not my image. Male front, female back.

Post pics of the comb at 8 weeks. It's true, as stated by sylvie, that Wyandotte pullets will also develop pink combs, but they will stay relatively small, and the males will develop larger combs and wattles. Sometimes you will get some that you just can't be sure on, but you can just wait until 12 weeks, as this is when male feathering will come in, if it's a male.
