Check these new ones well for mites.
Yes ma'am i had the same concern and i did that before leaving the store. Its pretty clearly overbreeding, and some picking from boredom. The three cots werent kept w any males and arent missing feathers like the A&M or buttons. Feathers on everyones head and neck and back. The cots do have some picking going on. Everyones vents are pretty clean tho no red or black spots either moving or not and feathers are good there by the vents.
But I sure do appreciate you posting and sharing what you learned. I also had no idea about this. I had to google them and sure enough we have them here and a whole of host of gnats (flies) that can be dangerous to my birds. I will be keeping my eyes out for them. Thanks again for sharing.
