Ah okay that makes sense! Although it’s a bit disappointing lol I’ve heard they’re excellent brush eaters/landscapers and pack animals lol not that I’d need the packing part but still. Do they hurt the little Nigerians?
They’ve never hurt them before, but my Nigerians and Boers are only allowed together out in the pasture, they have separate nighttime/winter pens so that they can’t hurt each other. I did however, just sell my most aggressive Boer (I only have two gentler homebreds left), so I’m hoping that everyone can be together now 🙂

Ohhh okay well that’s good!!! I was worried because of the size difference hah also why are Boers so expensive!? 😭🤣

I’ve noticed that a lot of the time personality makes more of a difference than size… A little mean doe is going to do more harm a big gentle doe in my opinion 😁
I think demand has a big influence on price, Boers aren’t super popular in my area, so you can’t sell them for much unless they’re 4h projects or have really good genetics (the ones around here have very poor genetics on average)

Ah okay that does make sense! Like how a chihuahua can be in charge of a Great Dane LOL

And that’s probably true! The ones around here are all crazy expensive but I think they’re really good genetics. There’s a big farm in CT a lot of them come from. But a lot are like $800 or at least $500 mostly way higher though.
