I just add it to feed as a real secure insurance policy..We just keep the dispenser full. My goats eat it as needed. They consume more in summer when on pasture. It's a cheap insurance policy.

I'm not sure if it's a good idea constantly. I don't know either way for sure. I do know they will consume it as necessary. Since it also has salt in it it's probably best to let them choose when to eat it, and how much.I just add it to feed as a real secure insurance policy..❤
Oh definitely I give mine a Big tables spoon for two goats every few days on the feed. I was told to by my friend Susan who has had goats for over 40 years. Most mineral blocks or mixes are mostly salts. We've always offered both mineral and baking soda free choice. It's just easier as well.Did you not know that goats mineral blocks are high in salt? Baking soda is not ...6% sodium..
