gonna lay an egg???

Hi all,

One of my gals (Buff Orpington) - 19 weeks old is acting funny today. She was very loud this morning and since has dig herself a hole in the pine shavings and is just sitting there all to herself not coming out of the coop or out of her hole.

I peek in and she doesn't get up just looks at me.

She is the #1 chicken in the pecking order and has always been ahead of all the others. So, it is very uncharacteristic for her to be alone and quite.

Is she gonna lay an egg??

She doesn't look sick at all, eating and drinking just fine.

I just have a feeling...

Does this sound right for a first egg??

Please let me know how yours acted before their first
egg.

EGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She is still sitting on it and still seems uncomfortable with periods of boking... is she gonna lay another?? or just getting over the shock??
