Good price for a rooster?

What is a good price to sell roosters at? I heard that you shouldnt give them away for free since it may become dinner. I want to make sure they go to a good home (one that it wont be eaten). Thanks

I see $5 often on craigs. I got mine free and I don't plan on making him dinner unless he attacks.Even then I would probably just dispatch.

I've been selling mine for 5 bucks. But who knows where they end up. All I know is that I don't need 13 roos. I get attached but I gotta do whats best for the flock.
